Floaty Drape

You can drape silk sarees, cotton or any lightweight sarees in floaty draping. This draping style is the common one and easy to carry off. Follow these steps:

  1. Hold one end of the saree, and leave the rest. Gradually tuck the end you are holding in the underskirt.
  1. Continue tucking the back until it covers the waist. Repeat tucking by keeping the saree’s length in mind.
  1. Next, determine Pallu’s length and place it on your shoulder. Adjust the Pallu as per your height.
  1. After adjusting Pallu, drape the reaming saree and plate it properly.
  2. When pleating, use your thumb and pinky finger; wrap them nicely.

Dhoti style Drape

Dhoti-style sarees are in fashion, and you may have found celebrities wearing them at award shows. If you want all the spotlight on you, fuse traditional and western styles. Learn the steps below:

  1. Wear leggings up to ankle length and not an underskirt for a dhoti saree.
  1. Start making pleats and pull them over your left shoulder by holding the Pallu. Take the other Pallu end, bring it from the right side and tuck it at the waist.
